# Editing an existing echelon

If an echelon is already created and it needs to be edited, it is possible by clicking edit (pen and notepad) icon.

This will open the same menu as when creating a new echelon.&#x20;

This allows you to only add new machines to the echelon. You cannot change the site assigned to the echelon. The only way is to delete the echelon or create a new one.

After successfully editing the echelon settings or parameters, save the changes by clicking **Submit**. Changes can be discarded by clicking **Cancel**.&#x20;
