# Background maps

Site Management provides the possibility to use custom maps, for example up-to-date orthophoto from drone flight, if it is captured.&#x20;

The maps must be available in one of the following formats WMS / WMTS / WFS / XYZ. To add maps URL address for the map server is needed.&#x20;

To add maps, click **Configure** and a new dialog opens. Dialog prompts which type of map is being added (WMS / WMTS / WFS / XYZ). Select the wanted type from the dropdown list and click **Next** to continue.

URL is put in *Service URL* -field and other settings can be edited. The available map layers from the wanted service are shown in the next dialog, which is accessed by clicking **Next**.&#x20;

Select the wanted map layers from the dropdown list, and click **Next** to finalize the selection.&#x20;

The added map layers are listed here and the map layers can be renamed, address copied, settings edited and deleted. If there is a need to add more maps, it can still be done by clicking **Add a new map.**
