# 2.1.2 Application to be closed before the start of publication

Checking the option to close the application before publishing can resolve inconsistent launch of the publishing application.

{% hint style="warning" %}

#### <mark style="color:orange;">Warning</mark>

#### All instances of the publishing application are always closed, i.e. if, for example, AutoCAD is started, where the drawing will be edited, AutoCAD will be closed and probably data will be lost. This setting is not recommended in an environment where on the same station is working and publishing in the given application at the same time. The publishing application closes without prompting to save open documents.

{% endhint %}
