This command opens a window containing user-defined fields for quick filling or a review of iProperties or material selection. The iProperties window configuration can vary per Inventor file type (part, assembly, drawing, presentation).

{% hint style="info" %}
The main benefit of this tool is that users can quickly fill in or review only the important/mandatory document properties. Searching in the document's iProperties window is no longer needed.
{% endhint %}

To learn about the Filter button of the Select Properties window (bottom left corner), see the page [Workflow overview (Automatic synchronization)](https://help.besmart.software/t4i/commands-overview/edit-settings/auto-iproperties/synchronization-of-iproperties#workflow-overview-automatic-synchronization).&#x20;

(This command has nothing to do with the iProperties synchronization, we just use the same interface objects on different places of T4I).
{% endhint %}

### Workflow Overview

1. Select the document type.
2. Add a material drop-down list or select iProperties (standard or user-defined).
3. Adjust the ordering of properties in the list/window.
4. Edit the behavior of selected properties (display name, read-only state, value type)
5. Use the command.

### Example of setting up the iProperties window

The goal of this example is to set up the properties window with four different property fields, similar to the image above.

<figure><img src="https://4060565498-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FL8qMZuBhZUXGRVospdct%2Fuploads%2Fes3S42VXVthgwWytYxpF%2FEdit%20IProperties1.gif?alt=media&#x26;token=6ac068a2-20fb-444e-9142-5bc0f51ffbe5" alt=""><figcaption><p>Example of setting up the iProperties window</p></figcaption></figure>

Working With New (non-existent) iProperties

On top of the basic procedure shown above, even the iProperties that don't yet exist can be configured to be used in the iProperties window. In such a case, the iProperty can be manually added to the file (part, assembly, drawing) directly from the iProperties window.

### Example of adding a new iProperty with a drop-down list selection
