# Export IGES

## Command Description

This command exports a 3D model to an IGES file. The export can be manual or automatic on the save event. The command can be configured in the Be.Smart T4I Settings window on the Publisher -> IGES tab.

`Be.Smart T4I -> Be.Smart T4I -> Edit settings -> Publisher -> IGES`

1. Automatically creates an IGES file from the active part or assembly after saving.
2. Sets the output folder for IGES files. When empty, IGES is created in the IGES subfolder in the same location as the source part or assembly. 3. Select the IGES file properties. The description can be found in the [Autodesk Inventor documentation](https://help.autodesk.com/view/INVNTOR/2026/ENU/?guid=GUID-68FCAD0E-93BD-4D90-B9FE-9CF82AA4E64D).

For larger files, the publishing process may take a long time to complete. In such cases, it is not recommended to use automatic on-save publishing. To speed up your workflows, disable the on-save publishing in settings and use manual publishing instead.
