New functionalities

Inspect breaklines -functionality (LandXML -files)

• Breaklines are meant for highlighting changes – previously it has not been possible to inspect these.

• Separate window in map and section view is available

Print tool (PDF, PNG, JPG, WEBP -formats)

• Create a print out of the map interface

• Create a print out of the section tool

Zoom to station

• Select an alignment and select the station, SMS will automatically zoom to the selected station.

Floating windows

• New floating windows functionality allows user to view map and other menus at the same time.

• Floating windows are available in the section tool and in the new Inspect breaklines -window

• More of the menus will be converted into floating windows in the future

Improvements

As-built point tolerances and the colors

• As-built tolerance minimum and maximum values can be set for a project or for a session

• As-built tolerance colors can be changed (over tolerance, within tolerance, under tolerance)

Section tool

• Legend is now sorted alphabetically

• Elevation values in section tool

  • New measuring tool allows to query elevation values from the surfaces

  • X -values are distance from the center (not actual coordinates)

  • Y -values are the elevation values (actual Z -coordinates)

Stationing on the map

• Stationing will be displayed either with 100-meter or 20-meter interval, depending on the zoom level

Inframodel -file Feature -elements

• Feature elements can add significant information to Inframodel elements. Previously only a subset was shown, now all the feature -elements are listed in the tool tip.

New functionalities

Project Configuration

• No more file-based configuration, instead this can be done manually in the Holixa SMS interface

• Minimum requirements are that a coordinate system and project boundary is set.

• All the other settings are just to improve the usability and allow user to have control of the experience

• Project admins can create project-wide configuration, which is recommended in the beginning.

  • Users can also create their own configuration to take a full advantage of the Holixa SMS possibilities

• Project configuration allows the customization of these settings:

  • Coordinate reference system

  • Project boundary

Holixa SMS Presets

• Save your map view and access the preset in the next session

• Share presets across the project

• Save location, zoom level, open models, markings filter, background maps and overlay maps

Opening Trimble Connect 3D views to the map

• Views created in Trimble Connect 3d viewer can be opened in Holixa SMS map

• With a restriction that only supported file formats will be opened in the map interface (LandXML, DWG, DXF, DGN, IFC)

Custom links

• Users can add custom links to the project, meaning that can use SMS as a hub to access all the data within the project

• Guide project members to use SMS and provide the access to external services via custom links

BETA support for DGN and IFC

• Added support to view DGN and IFC in Holixa SMS map

• Please note that these are still BETA versions - we are looking for any feedback on the file formats

Coordinate reference system can now be defined in multiple ways

• PROJ.4 string

Pointscene integration

• Possibility to reset the point cloud calculation

• Filter points by point cloud classification

New coordinate reference system library

• Support for LCC 1SP -coordinate reference systems

  • Such as EPSG:27571 – EPSG:27574 used in France

New functionalities

Stationing for all LandXML alignments

• Possibility to display stationing to all “Alignment” -elements in a LandXML

Station and offset values

• Introducing a new feature that allows users to select an alignment, and based on the alignment selected, SMS will calculate the station and distance to it. This can be done for either users own location or to user defined location.

KM – stationing for Railway alignment in Inframodel -format

• As-built point tolerances

  • Can be adjusted for a project or by a user

Holixa GeoView -integration*

• Take and store your photos to GeoView

• View them in Holixa SMS simultaneously with the models

• Support for 360 photos

Pointscene -integration*

• Ability to make volume calculations based on point cloud and surface comparison

• Visualize cut and fill on map

Utilization-integration*

• Possibility to document your fleet telematics to the project database

• Fixed an Issue where section tool listed all the models active in the map
