Installation Video

Basic Steps

1. Verify system requirements

Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements recommended for Autodesk Inventor and check you have sufficient privileges to install applications.

2. Download the installation file

Use the official download link.

3. Run the installer

Once the download is complete, double-click the file to start the installation process.

4. Continue in the Setup Wizard

Click "Next" to proceed with the installation.

5. Accept the license agreement

Read the license agreement thoroughly and accept it before continuing with the installation. Then click "Next".

6. Choose the preferred Setup Type

You have the option to choose between:

a) "Typical" or "Complete" installation, which is going to install all the modules (recommended)

b) "Custom" installation, where you can configure which modules are going to be installed yourself.

7. Start the installation

Click "Install" to start the installation process. Administrator rights are required.

8. Allow making changes

If prompted by MS User Account Control, click "Yes" to allow the installation process to make changes to your computer.

9. Wait

Wait for the installation process to complete.

10. Finish the installation

Once the installation is complete, click "Finish".

11. Run Inventor

Launch the Autodesk Inventor to get access to Be.Smart T4I.

12. Unblock the add-in if necessary

Starting with version 26.2.0, this step is no longer necessary.

Should you, in rare cases, get the message about an add-in being blocked by Inventor, go to Tools -> Add-Ins, find the Be.Smart : T4I, and check both Load Automatically and Loaded/Unloaded checkboxes.

13. Login

Fill out the login details you received by e-mail or were provided by your contract manager in order for T4I to be enabled. Then click Login.

Alternatively, if you just want to test the application, you can click the Start trial version button.

14. License details

If successfully logged in, you are going to see the credentials of person the license is assigned to, license state and its expiration date. If log-in was not successful, please contact the subject responsible for your license acquisition.

15. Continue in Inventor

Continue in Inventor by opening any existing or new document.

Additional (Not Mandatory) Steps

1. User interface language

The language of your Be.Smart T4I user interface will be selected automatically based on the user interface language of your Inventor installation. You can change it anytime from Be.Smart T4I Settings -> General ribbon, Language drop-down list.

2. Country of support

When you access technical support for the first time, you have the option to select the support country corresponding to the country of your T4I license supplier.

Also, the support country can be changed anytime from the Be.Smart T4I settings.
