Rename nodes
Command Description
This command renames the top-level assembly component nodes. Unlike the Apply display name command, changes are not applied to child components and are visible only in the assembly in which the command was run.
A file name or selected iProperty, including custom iProperties, can be used. Also, the browser nodes can be renamed back to the default state. The command works in manual mode.

Setting up the Rename nodes command is very easy. If necessary, a user selects the iProperties that should be available for use in the Rename nodes command window, Property section.
The command can be used even without iProperties selected to rename nodes to file names or reset the naming to defaults.
To learn about the Filter button of the Select Properties (4) window (bottom left corner), see the page Workflow overview (Automatic synchronization).
(This command has nothing to do with the iProperties synchronization, we just use the same interface objects on different places of T4I).
