# Check-in

Check-in option enables users to create new features in database or edit the existing ones.

User can start command with already created selection set of feature objects to check in, or if it is empty user will be prompted to select objects.

Next, two steps UI is shown. First window is shown with basic info about features that user selected, grouped by feature class name. User can once more change set of objects to check-in by checking/unchecking boxes.

Then, user must select a coordinate system in which features are represented in. If coordinate system was previously set during check-in/check-out procedure this field will be read-only, displaying previously chosen CRS which was saved in drawing data.

After the procedure is finished, user can look into messages written in the command line that give information about number of newly created or updated features, possible errors etc.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.besmart.software/be.smart-site-management/en-site-productivity/civil-3d-plug-in/site-manager-palette/check-in.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
