Start using Leica ConX integration, by opening a project, clicking Integrations and selecting Leica ConX.

Before accessing the integration for the first time, please create a project to ConX, via Leica ConX web site.

Setup

To use the integration, Leica ConX project needs to be paired with Site Management project, which is one-time action.

Define, who can use this connection. There are three options:

  • Project admins

  • All project members

  • Specific users and groups

Please note that the access setting can be changed later.

After defining who can use the connection, click Connect to proceed.

This will open a separate browser window and to use the integration, user must sign in to Leica ConX, by using needed credentials.

After successful sign in, user must select a ConX project to connect to.

If the listed projects are already connected to Site Management, user must access ConX and create a new project.

Please note that Leica ConX project can only be connected to one Site Management project.

Once user has successfully connected ConX and Site Management project, the integration is ready to be used.

Using the integration

Map tab

First view of the integration is called Map, which has two main features; live machine locations and as-built points.

Activating the checkbox in front of the feature, will active the feature.

As-built points can be filtered based on date.

Files tab

Next tab is Files, which is opens up the file component.

Left side shows the files and folders in Site Management and right side shows the files and folders in Leica ConX project.

File sending is done by selecting a file from the wanted side, navigating to other side to the wanted folder and clicking the arrow to the correct direction.

By clicking three vertical lines above the folder structure, user can, for example, create new folder to either system.

The connection is live, so once the file is sent to either direction, it is available immediately in the system.

Users tab

Users tab is meant to use to manage who has access and can use the integration.

The same setting is available, when the connection is first created. As a reminder, the possible settings are:

  • Project admins

  • All project member

  • Specific users and groups

Connection tab

Last tab is used to disconnect Site Management and ConX project from one another.

Clicking disconnect will open a confirmation view and user must reclick the disconnect.

Like described in the text, this will only disconnect Site Management from Conx, but not the other way around.

To revoke the connection from ConX, access Configure > Integration > Revoke in ConX user interface.

After this, the connection can be re-established if needed, by following the workflow described in the Setup section.
